Later, you will arrive at the idyllic ancient town of Hoi An before concluding your tour in Ho Chi Minh City, where you will visit the Cu Chi Tunnels to gain an understanding of Vietnamese history. Before departing, take a cruise through fishing villages and markets to get a sense of the Mekong region’s way of life.

In the afternoon, learn about different ethnic minorities of Vietnam through a visit to the Museum of Ethnology. Today, visit the famous and maze-like Cu Chi Tunnels, which plays an important role in Vietnam’s history. Next is the War Remnants Museum for a glimpse of Vietnam’s fighting for independence, followed by a leisure stroll through the Reunification Palace, the Ben Thanh Market, the Old Saigon Post Office and Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat) within walking distance.
After breakfast at the hotel, head for the Mekong Delta area (2-3 hours’ drive). You’ll first begin with a boat cruise on the Ham Luong River, where you can breathe some fresh air while paddling along the bank. Stop to explore the area, learning how coconuts are processed and feeling the real life of the local people living in this region. There’ll be a homemade lunch served by a local family, which is going to be a life-time memory. After that, you will go back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Today, you may have some free time exploring the city yourself before your guide escorts you to the airport for your onward flight.
